Hi! I’m Sara Mulvanny, and I’m a freelance illustrator based in Surrey and represented by Agency Rush.
I graduated from Kingston University with a BA (Hons) in Illustration in 2010 and have since worked on a wide range of projects from books and magazines to large-scale illustrations for museums and restaurants. I have a studio in the garden where I can be found creating pen and ink drawings which I digitally transform using a combination of colour and texture. I think it’s the variety of commissions that makes life as an illustrator so exciting. I’m often juggling a few commissions at once, and it’s their differences which make them so enjoyable. It means that each day is different from the last one, and each project presents a new challenge. I spend a lot of time sitting in my studio so I love to go for walks in the surrounding countryside with Mabel my Airedale Terrier.
